We, the Malaysian Student Organization (MSA), are hosting the " Introduction to Malaysian Food" event to promote the traditional food consumed by most of the local people in Malaysia. Malaysian food is exotic with a range of flavors and culinary styles that will offer first-timers an endless gastronomic adventure. We hope that with this introduction to Malaysian food you will be craving for more of its great flavors! * Order will be accepted until April 23, 2014 ( 8.00 am ). Price for each menu : $6.00. (1) Nasi Ayam Madu ( Honeyed Chicken Rice ) The chicken is steamed, and then fried or roasted, although this usually result in a drier texture for the chicken meat. This dish is eaten by making sure to get a portion of chicken, some rice and the soy and chili condiment into each mouthful. (2) Nasi Tomato dgn Ayam Masak Merah dan Acar Timun (Malay-Style Red Chicken Curry with Tomato Rice) Tomato rice recipe uses many spices and tomato sauce is important to produce the color and taste of the rice. The tomato rice is served with fermented cucumber and red chicken curry. (3) Nasi Lemak dgn Ayam Goreng Berempah ( Spiced Fried Chicken with Steamed Coconut Rice ) Nasi lemak is a fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and "pandan" leaf commonly found in Malaysia. It is considered the the national dish. Nasi lemak served with anchovies, peanuts, egg, vegetables, and sambal tumis (spicy sauce).  |
